Aging with Intellectual and Developmental Disability Trainings

The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and CDDER are pleased to present a series of Webinars focused on Aging with Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD). These webinars are designed to introduce topics associated with aging and IDD, as well as provide additional resources as needed. The intended audience for these webinars are caregivers, families, direct support professionals, residential managers, and case managers. For more information on Aging with IDD, click here for the Department of Developmental Services

Aging

  • General Aging
    The webinar series presents a general overview of aging in the IDD population, as well as other health-related topics such as polypharmacy, pain, nutrition, caregiving and aging with Down syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. This series will teach caregivers and others about what to expect as someone with an IDD ages. Each module ranges from 6 to 30 minutes. Dr. Moran, a geriatrician and specialist in aging with IDD, leads the webinar series.
