LEND Program Stipends

To receive a stipend, the trainee or fellow must be one of the following: A U.S. citizen, a non-citizen national of the United States, an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the United States, any other “qualified alien” under section 431(b) of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, Pub. L 104-193, as amended. Individuals on temporary or student visas, or with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, are not eligible to receive financial support from grant funds.

Stipends may be used in one of two ways:

  1. Fellows may receive a stipend of $12,000 for participation in the LEND Program Core Curriculum on Fridays.

or

  1. For Fellows participating in the Suffolk University Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program, the stipend will be applied towards tuition. Suffolk also provides a scholarship toward tuition costs, as well as three tuition-waivered courses.
